Khamani K Anderson is accused of shooting Brandon C Theodat, 26, around noon on Sunday, Nov. 5, at the Campanelli Industrial Drive, Brockton police said.
Anderson claimed he pulled the trigger after Theodat pulled a knife during an argument, police said. It's unclear what started the fight.
Paramedics rushed Theodat to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the Boston Globe reported.
Officers identified the shooter on Sunday. Anderson remained on the run until Monday, Nov. 6, when he turned himself in to the police.
“The safety of our customers and associates continues to be our top priority as we work with the Brockton police to investigate this incident,” Ocean State Job Lot said in a statement Sunday night, according to NBC Boston.
Both Anderson and Theodat face criminal charges, according to police.
Anderson's charges include:
- assault and battery with a dangerous weapon
- discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building
- possession of a loaded firearm during the commission of a felony
- improper storage of a firearm
Theodat's charges include:
- assault and battery with a dangerous weapon
- disturbing the peace
- disorderly conduct
Theodat is also being charged for a “default warrant” in a different incident, police said.
